New Mauka Concourse

The new Mauka Concourse addresses the need for additional gate capacity at HNL during the peak hours and the need for new gates capable of handling larger widebody aircraft such as the Airbus A-350. It will be the first major concourse expansion at Honolulu International Airport in almost 20 years.

The L-shaped concourse will be connected to the Interisland Terminal and will include new aircraft gates, passenger holdrooms, security screening lanes, jet bridges, and public amenities, such as concessions, restrooms, and information kiosks. Its size would accommodate today’s peak traffic in an efficient use of the limited space at HNL.

The Mauka Concourse will provide 6 new gatehouses, each with 2 passenger loading bridges, with an overall capability of accommodating 6 widebody aircraft parking positions or 11 narrowbody aircraft parking positions.
